Chorley Pals Memorial Secretary Steve Williams is in Chorley Hospital following an operation to remove his gallbladder.
Steve had been experiencing pain in his abdomen for several months, and went in to hospital on Friday for keyhole surgery. Unfortunately, complications set in requiring more open surgery and a longer stay in hospital for observation.
He hopes to be discharged on Monday evening, after which he will be spending a couple of weeks at home recovering.
Everyone at the Chorley Remembers project and the Chorley Pals Memorial wish him a speedy recovery.
