Harry Brown was known to have been wounded in the war.
Born in Chorley in 1893 to his parents John and Alice, he was one of eight children. In 1901 they were living at 16 Springs Road and he was living there with his widowed mother in 1911, being recorded as single and working as a Weaver.
A Harry Brown was recorded as marrying Alice Rostron at St. James’ Church in Chorley during 1922.
