William Derbyshire was believed to be 23 years of age in 1916, being wounded sometime during his war service.
He put in a memorial message in the Chorley Guardian in July 1918 for fellow Chorley Pals, Robert Astley 15433 and Richard Pendlebury 15448.
Other Information: The 1901 Census for Chorley recorded a Willie Derbyshire aged 9 living at 6 Queen Street in the town, being the brother of a Joseph Derbyshire.
