John Drinnan is on the Chorley Pals scroll in Astley Hall and was known to have gone to Caernarvon for training in February 1915, but no record of his army service can be found.
He was born in Radcliffe in 1887 and the 1911 Census had him working as a Beetler (Bleaching Trade), residing as a Boarder at 57 Hamilton Road in Chorley.
