Charles Hull was born in Poulton-le-Fylde near Blackpool in 1889, living there with his parents at the turn of the century.
He married Margaret Dewhurst at St. James’ Church in Chorley in 1906 and set up home in the town; the 1911 Census had them living at 68 Eaves Lane with their two sons, William (aged 6) and Joseph (aged 3 months).
Little is known of his Army service except that he was wounded sometime during the war.
Charles died in Chorley in 1947, aged 60.
