George Kennedy was known to have been wounded in the war.
The only George Kennedy found locally on 1901 and 1911 Census was born in Withnell in 1894. The 1911 Census showed him working as an Apprentice Die Cutter and living at 114 School Lane in Brinscall with his parents Fanny and James; he was one of four children.
A George Kennedy is recorded as marrying Martha Riding at Chorley in 1919.
