William Parker was born in Croston on the 19th September 1890, the son of William and Phoebe.
Upon enlisting in the Pals on the 23rd September 1914 he was single, living at 14 Froom Street and working as a Weaver at Progress Mill in Chorley.
He was wounded at Serre on the 1st July 1916 and again on the 5th August at Vine Street in the front line trenches at Neuve Chappelle.
