Thomas Riley is on the Pals scroll in Astley Hall as a Corporal and had that rank when leaving for Caernarvon in February 1915.
He was known to have been wounded at Serre on the 1st July 1916, being transferred thereafter to the Labour Corps with a service number of 322961.
Thomas lived at 15 Tennyson Avenue and worshipped at St. James’s Church in the town.
